The process · 5 questions
About the process.
How does the timeshare exit process work?
The process begins with a free consultation, where we review your situation and explain your options. If you decide to move forward, a case specialist coordinates the exit on your behalf — communicating with the resort, preparing documentation and managing each step through to written confirmation.
How long does a timeshare exit take?
Timelines vary with the resort, the type of contract and whether a loan is outstanding. Most cases take several months. We give you a realistic estimate after reviewing your situation, not a blanket promise about speed.
Do I keep paying maintenance fees while my exit is in progress?
Yes. Until your name is legally off the deed or contract, you remain the owner, and the financial obligations that come with ownership continue. Keep paying your maintenance fees and any loan payments until your exit is confirmed. Stopping payment early can damage both your credit and your exit options. Our guide to maintenance fees during an exit explains more.
What happens after I contact you?
A CPG specialist reviews your information, asks questions about your contract and ownership, and explains which exit options may apply to your situation. There is no obligation to proceed, and the consultation is free.
Do I have to attend meetings or travel anywhere?
No. We handle everything remotely. Documents are exchanged electronically, and all communications take place by phone, email or secure message.
Costs · 4 questions
Costs & fees.
What does it cost to work with Client Protection Group?
Fees depend on the specifics of your case. We explain all costs clearly before you commit to anything. There are no hidden fees. We do not charge for the initial consultation.
Is the initial review really free?
Yes. The initial consultation costs nothing and carries no obligation to proceed. A specialist reviews your situation and explains which options may apply before you decide anything.
Do you charge upfront fees?
Fee structure varies by case. Some arrangements involve payment before work begins; others are structured differently. We explain the applicable structure for your situation during the consultation, so you can make an informed decision.
Can you help if I still owe money on my timeshare loan?
Yes. We work with owners who have outstanding loan balances. A loan may affect which exit options are available and how the process works, but it does not necessarily prevent an exit. We assess your specific situation and explain what may be possible.
Your situation · 5 questions
Your timeshare situation.
I am behind on maintenance fees. Can you still help?
Possibly. Fee arrears can affect your available options and the complexity of the exit, but they do not automatically prevent us from helping. We review each situation individually and give you an honest assessment of what the arrears mean for your case.
Can you help with any timeshare company?
We work with owners from all major timeshare developers, including Wyndham, Marriott, Hilton, Bluegreen, Diamond Resorts, Holiday Inn Club Vacations and many others. Contact us if you are unsure whether your developer is one we are familiar with.
I am past the rescission period. Is it too late to exit?
No. The rescission window (commonly 3–10 days after purchase, and up to 15 in some states) is only one of several possible exit paths. It isn’t available once the window has closed, so we look at which other approaches may apply to your situation.
I inherited a timeshare I do not want. Can you help?
Yes. Inherited timeshares are a common situation. The process depends on how the title is held and whether any financial obligations exist. We review the specifics and explain the applicable options.
Will this affect my credit score?
Our goal is to pursue exits in ways that minimize credit impact. Credit outcomes depend on the specific circumstances of your case, including whether a loan is involved and how the resort processes the exit. We discuss credit implications honestly as part of your case review.
About CPG · 6 questions
About Client Protection Group.
Is Client Protection Group a law firm?
No. Client Protection Group is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. If your situation requires legal representation, we will tell you and encourage you to consult a licensed attorney. Our role is to review your ownership, explain your exit options and coordinate the exit process.
How is Client Protection Group different from a timeshare attorney?
CPG is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. CPG’s services are consultative in nature. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We recommend that you consult a qualified attorney before making decisions about your timeshare contract.
Does Client Protection Group sell or resell timeshares?
No. We do not purchase, list, broker or resell timeshares. We focus on helping owners pursue exit and cancellation options, not on finding buyers or transferring ownership to another party.
Can you guarantee that my timeshare will be cancelled?
No. No legitimate company can guarantee a specific outcome on a timeshare exit. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including resort policies, contract terms and loan status. We give you an honest assessment of what is realistic before you commit to anything.
What is the money-back guarantee?
CPG is backed by a money-back guarantee: CPG offers a refund commitment if it cannot complete your timeshare exit. No one, including CPG, can guarantee that a specific timeshare will be cancelled — the guarantee is a refund commitment, not a promise of a particular outcome. Your specialist explains how it applies to your situation during your free consultation, and its terms are written into your service agreement before any work begins.
How does Client Protection Group work with owners?
We explain what may be possible, and what may not, before you commit. We don’t use high-pressure tactics or charge for things we cannot deliver. Our approach is straightforward: review your case, explain your options and follow through.
